About Us
Aim Support Services provides safe, supportive, and structured accommodation for young adults aged 18+ who are preparing for independent living. Our service has been designed to meet the specific needs of care leavers and vulnerable young people who require continued guidance beyond the age of 18. We work closely with Local Authorities to ensure each young person receives consistent, person-centred support that reflects their history, goals, cultural background, and individual abilities.
Our aim is simple: to offer a stable home environment where young adults feel secure, respected, and empowered. We support them in developing the confidence, life skills, and emotional resilience needed to progress positively into adulthood. Our approach is trauma-informed, inclusive, and based on building trusting relationships. Each young person is treated as an individual, and every aspect of their support is centred around their choices, future aspirations, and personal journey.
How do we help?
At Aim Support Services, we recognise that every young adult has their own experiences, strengths, and challenges. Our support is tailored carefully around each person’s needs. We work with them to build the essential practical and emotional skills required for adult life. This includes developing their ability to manage a home, maintain positive routines, access education or employment, and navigate the responsibilities that come with increased independence.
Young people receive guidance in managing daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, shopping, and maintaining their accommodation. We help them understand how to deal with bills, correspondence, appointments, and the administrative aspects of adult life. Our staff also provide emotional encouragement, helping young adults make informed decisions, build self-esteem, and develop healthy coping strategies.
We support young people with education and employment by assisting them in enrolling in college, attending classes, preparing CVs, or exploring vocational pathways that match their interests. Where required, we accompany them to appointments, help them register with essential services such as GP or dentist, and ensure they remain connected with appropriate professionals.
While we offer close support and guidance, it is important to clarify that we do not provide personal care or nursing care. Our service is focused entirely on independence, empowerment, and youth-focused support.
Our values
Our service is built on strong values that shape everything we do. We believe that every young adult deserves respect, safety, choice, and the opportunity to grow. Our work is guided by a person-centred ethos, where the young person’s voice is central to all decisions affecting their daily life and future plans. We involve them actively in shaping their support, recognising that independence begins by being listened to and understood.
We are committed to promoting equality and diversity in all aspects of our service. No young person is ever treated less favourably because of their background, identity, or personal circumstances. We work inclusively with individuals from all cultural, religious, and linguistic communities, adapting our communication and approach to ensure that every young person feels valued.
Safeguarding is a fundamental part of our values. We operate with transparency, partnership working, and accountability, ensuring that young people are protected from harm and that staff are equipped to recognise and respond to concerns. Our culture is one of continuous learning, where feedback from young people, staff, and Local Authorities helps us refine and improve our practice.

Our Staff
Our staff team brings extensive experience in supporting young people with a wide range of needs, including mental health challenges, learning disabilities, communication difficulties, and difficulties linked to trauma or instability. Every member of the team receives a thorough induction, ongoing training, and regular supervision to ensure that their practice remains compassionate, professional, and aligned with current legislation.
Staff receive continuous training in safeguarding, mental health support, boundary setting, de-escalation, equality and diversity, confidentiality, GDPR, and health and safety. They are skilled in helping young people develop the emotional and practical tools necessary for adulthood. Their support is based on building trusting, professional relationships that encourage growth, stability, and independence.
All staff hold enhanced DBS checks and follow strict policies on confidentiality, professionalism, and safeguarding. The Service Manager oversees day-to-day practice and ensures that young people’s support plans are implemented consistently and reviewed regularly. While staff offer high-level support, it is important to note that they do not deliver personal care.
Safety
Safety is one of our highest priorities. We follow clear policies and procedures designed to protect young people and maintain a secure environment within each property. Our safeguarding approach incorporates recognised national principles and reflects the responsibilities of all professionals working with young adults.
Each young person has a detailed risk assessment that identifies both strengths and areas of vulnerability. These assessments are updated regularly as circumstances change. We maintain robust health and safety measures throughout all properties, including fire safety procedures, regular drills, and comprehensive checks of equipment and communal spaces. Staff follow structured lone-working and emergency procedures to ensure the wellbeing of both young people and the workforce.
We take privacy and data protection seriously. Information is handled in strict compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK-GDPR guidelines. Our commitment to safety extends beyond physical protection; we also promote emotional and psychological safety by creating an environment of trust, stability, and open communication.

Safety and Compliance
Incident management
When an incident occurs, whether it involves behaviour, safety concerns, accidents, or missing episodes, it is managed carefully and professionally. Staff respond immediately to ensure the safety of everyone involved, while also providing emotional reassurance to the young person.
Incidents are recorded promptly and accurately. Relevant professionals, including Personal Advisors, Social Workers, or Local Authority safeguarding teams, are informed in line with our procedures. We use incidents as opportunities for learning and reflection. The Service Manager reviews all reports, identifies patterns, and updates risk assessments and support plans as needed. This process ensures that young people receive support that remains responsive, evolving, and grounded in safeguarding best practice.
Our incident management approach aims to promote accountability, improve practice, and ensure that young people feel safe and listened to when things go wrong.
Compliance
Aim Support Services is committed to delivering a service that meets all relevant legislative and policy requirements for supported accommodation for young adults. We operate in line with the Equality Act 2010, the Data Protection Act 2018, UK-GDPR, the Health and Safety at Work Act, safeguarding frameworks for adults aged 18+, and guidance for care leavers preparing for independent living.
As a service providing support but not personal care, we are an unregulated 18+ provision. We do not undertake any activities that fall under regulated care standards. Instead, our compliance framework focuses on housing-related support, safeguarding responsibilities, quality management, and adherence to national best practice.
Our policies and procedures are reviewed regularly to ensure they remain accurate, lawful, and reflective of the needs of the young people we support. Staff are expected to follow these policies at all times, and internal audits help ensure consistency and accountability across the service.
Internal inspection
Quality assurance is built into the fabric of our organisation. We conduct regular internal inspections to monitor the standard of accommodation, the quality of support provided, and the accuracy of documentation. These inspections include reviewing support plans, risk assessments, property conditions, incident logs, and staff practice.
We also place value on feedback from young people. Their experiences, views, and suggestions contribute directly to how we shape and improve the service. Internal inspection processes allow us to identify strengths, address weaknesses, and demonstrate continued commitment to best practice.
All findings from inspection activity are used to inform staff training, update policies, and enhance the overall experience of the young people in our care.
Compliance inspector
Our internal compliance function ensures that our service operates safely, consistently, and in accordance with our policies. The role involves reviewing records, monitoring safeguarding procedures, examining property conditions, and ensuring that staff follow organisational expectations at all times.
This role does not relate to regulated adult care inspections. Instead, it focuses on internal accountability and continuous improvement. The Compliance Inspector works closely with management to ensure that any identified issues are resolved promptly and that young people continue to receive a high standard of support.
