Skills Development, Confidence and Long-Term Stability
Through floating support, young people receive help with tasks such as budgeting, understanding bills, organising appointments, maintaining a healthy routine, cooking, shopping, cleaning and relationships with professionals. Staff also assist with college applications, employment searches, Universal Credit processes and communication with external agencies.
Support is adapted to each young person’s communication style, cultural background and level of need. Our goal is always to empower rather than create dependence. Young adults are encouraged to take positive risks, build self-confidence and gradually assume responsibility for their own daily life. Floating support can be a stepping stone to full independence or a continuation of the support provided within our accommodation. The focus is always on encouraging autonomy and long-term stability.
